J-Pop’s New Blushing Bride!
This piece of news came as a complete surprise to me, but Koda Kumi has announced through her official website (in a letter very reminiscent of Maki Goto‘s hiatus announcement) that she will be getting married to BACK-ON‘s Kenji03!
It’s no secret to Kumi fans that she’s one of the most (openly) passionate artists around, often telling reporters in magazines that most of the inspiration she gets for her music comes from love and she is someone who’s in love with being in love! Up until now, she hasn’t been vocal about actual boyfriends/girlfriends (yes, she even kept the gender of her partners ambiguous!) but she definitely made it clear that she loves to be a girlfriend, and it’s only natural that that evolved to being a wife too!
Even though this piece of news caught me very much by surprise, (especially since the ceremony will be this month!) I couldn’t be happier for Kumi! I’m sure she will make a terrific bride because of this passion she has inside of her for everything that means making her significant other happy! She looks extremely happy by the announcement of the elopement, stating that:
He is a wonderful man who accepts everything about me as an artist Koda Kumi, and also makes it comfortable so I can stay as the way I am. I wish that we will make a family that’s full of smiles, so please watch over us with your warm eyes. Please continue to support me.
As fans, I don’t think we could ask for more! Both of them are in the industry and understand the importance of their fans and their work, but the fact that they’re so in love and don’t want to change a single thing about each other only warms up my heart about the announcement!
I’ll definitely be watching over them with warm eyes, and even if Kumi’s recently announced 10th studio album, JAPONESQUE, is going to be her last one for a while (maybe that’s why it’ll be containing 19 tracks and a music video for each!), I’m happy that this is the reason, and I’ll continue to eagerly support both, the artist Koda Kumi and the wife, Kuu-chan! ♥
I wish Kumi the absolute best in this new journey of hers and I’m sure that she will be the best bride Japan or the world have ever seen! Congratulations!

No no, not at all! :D I just meant that even if it is her last one in a while (in like a year, maybe she wants to dedicate some time for her husband, after all!), I wouldn’t mind it being for this reason!

There must be something in the air, because first a former Momosu member announced her upcoming wedding, then Ms. Koda, and now Ai Kago is pregnant and married. Aaaaah I’m so happy for them all~~
Oh wow! :o A wave of marriage! hahaha but yes, I’m happy for them all! :’D I know Ai Kago has been through a lot this year and I hope that her baby brings her a lot of happiness and joy and that all her hardships become past :D
Kumi is already being a fantastic mother even before her baby’s birth :’) hahahaha and YES, that fierce lil’ baby is going to be strutting down that hospital before she even notices! hahahaha
